Mark Chana – Group COO of CCI Global and former CCI South Africa Managing Director

Mark Chana is the former Managing Director of CCI South Africa, which is the largest business process outsourcing (BPO) contact centre provider in South Africa.

An experienced business leader, he is also Group Chief Operating Officer of CCI Global.

Mark has transformed CCI South Africa from small beginnings into the country’s biggest international call centre. It now houses more than 9,000 of the group’s 250,000 employees.

The company specialises in outbound and inbound customer contact services to companies in the telco, mobile, financial services, utilities and travel sectors. And it’s renowned for its commitment to collaboration, customer service and business improvement.

Mark Chana is also on the Board of BPESA, the professional body of the contact centre industry.

In 2014, he joined the CareerBox Board. CareerBox is a recruitment and skills development organisation. CCI South Africa recruits contact centre agents, direct from CareerBox – giving many people their first full-time career opportunity.

Mark says he’s incredibly proud to be a part of a team whose mission is to transform the lives of South African youths and build African economies.

Before moving to South Africa, Mark Chana was Associate Sales Director at Phones 4u, Area Manager at ALDI Stores and Operations Manager of Nestle S.A.

He has a Master of Engineering in Biochemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Biochemical Engineering from University College London.
